Other possibilities

the summit of the Belchen has been free of cars since December 2001. You can therefore climb to the top on foot, by mountain bike or by cable car. The restaurant "Belchenhaus" is the highest situated restaurant in Baden-Württemberg.

Ways to arrive

Coming from Freiburg

via Schauinsland or Kirchzarten - Oberried - Notschrei - Todtnau. Before Schönau im Schwarzwald continue straight on in the direction of Aitern

Coming from Titisee-Neustadt

via B 317-Feldberg, Todtnau. Continue in the direction of Lörrach past Utzenfeld and then turn right towards Aitern.

Coming from direction of

via B 317 in the direction of Todtnau until Schönenbuchen and then left to Aitern.
